He completed orthopedic training from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. After residency he received a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and a Fellowship in Foot and Ankle at Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Donegan is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons as well as a member of the Texas Society of Sports Medicine, Texas Orthopedic Association, and Tarrant County Medical Association. Dr. Donegan specializes in sports medicine but also practices general orthopedics. He has served as orthopedic surgeon for the Texas Motor Speedway covering the NASCAR and Indy races. He volunteers as team orthopedist for several mid-cities high school teams.
