Dr. Pat Peters is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He founded North Texas Orthopedics & Spine Center in 1989, and his goal has been to develop a premier orthopedic practice in north Texas. He has put together an outstanding team of doctors offering comprehensive musculoskeletal care, and now, North Texas Orthopedics & Spine Center has two state-of-the-art facilities located right in the heart of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.

Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. Peters lettered in football and track at Haltom High School, graduating in the top ten in his class. He then went on to attend The University of Texas at Arlington receiving the College of Science Award, and after only three years, went on to attend medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He remained in San Antonio at UTHSC to complete a general surgery internship and four-year orthopedic surgery residency. While in residency, Dr. Peters did research on the treatment of fracture nonunions, writing several papers and presenting his research at national and international meetings. After residency, he completed a fellowship in foot and ankle reconstruction in Cincinnati, Ohio, publishing an editorial for The Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Peters is board-certified in orthopedic surgery. He has served in several leadership positions in local hospitals, including chief of surgery. He has also previously served as the director of the Total Joint Program at Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine and is a member of their Physician Leadership Team. He is currently the director of the Orthopedic Trauma Center at Texas Health Harris Methodist HEB Hospital, which is a Level III Trauma Center. He frequently speaks to the community, high school students, and peers to create a better understanding of orthopedic injuries and chronic conditions.

Outside of North Texas Orthopedics & Spine Center, Dr. Peters is active in his church and several mission programs. He has lead or participated in many medical, educational, and construction trips to South Africa, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Mexico. During his medical career, he has served on the Board of Trustees at Dallas Christian College and as a team physician for several professional, semiprofessional, collegiate, and high school athletic teams and for the Texas Motor Speedway.

He is devoted to his wife of 30-plus years and is actively involved with his four sons playing golf, fishing, hunting, running, and working out.
