Kandy has over 30 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist working in inpatient and outpatient therapy facilities. She attended Western Michigan University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. She then received her master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman's University in Denton Texas and continued with her studies to become a Certified Hand Therapist. She is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT), The Texas State Chapter of ASHT, and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). Kandy specializes in the treatment of upper extremity injuries with primary interests in education and injury prevention.
Outside of the clinic, Kandy enjoys traveling, reading, walking, sailing, and is involved in church ministries.
