/ Signs You Need a Wrist Doctor's Strength of Experience

If you are suffering from any of the following symptoms, you may have a wrist injury or condition:

  • Difficulty straightening your wrist
  • Elbow pain in addition to wrist pain
  • Numbness or tingling in the hand and forearm
  • Pins-and-needles sensations
  • Unable to carry, open, or twist objects

Wrist pain, as well as any of the above symptoms, can have a significant impact on your daily life. If you are experiencing any of those symptoms for more than a few days or if your wrist pain worsens, you should schedule an appointment with a wrist doctor or surgeon. • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • De Quervain's tendonitis
  • Dupuytren's disease
  • Fracture
  • Ganglion cyst

/ Our Hand & Wrist Center Can Help You

The foundation of our Hand & Wrist Center is built upon the knowledge and expertise of our wrist specialists who have dedicated their practices to diagnosing and treating patients with injuries and conditions of the wrist and upper extremity.

When you see one of our wrist specialists at our Hand & Wrist Center, you can rest assured that you are receiving the highest level of specialized wrist and upper extremity care. Our specialists use the latest evidence-based treatments and surgical techniques to provide our wrist patients with advanced bone, joint, and muscle care.

To provide an accurate diagnosis of your wrist pain or issue, our doctors will assess your wrist as well as ask questions about the pain you are experiencing in your wrist. They may also order tests, such as X-rays, to help them determine the cause of your wrist pain. Once the cause has been determined, our wrist specialists will work together to develop an individualized treatment plan that utilizes nonsurgical treatment options first instead of recommending wrist surgery. These treatments may include physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medication, or an additional medical treatment option. If the conservative treatment options are ineffective at providing relief for your condition or injury, our surgeons will develop a surgical plan that is right for you.

If wrist surgery is recommended for you, our wrist surgeons are some of the most highly skilled surgeons and offer a broad range of hand and wrist surgeries. This includes the following surgeries and procedures:

  • Carpal tunnel release
  • De Quervain's release
  • Distal radius fracture repair
  • Ganglion cyst removal
  • Scaphoid fracture open reduction and internal fixation
  • Surgical fracture care
  • Tendon repair
  • Wrist arthroscopy
