“I turn 55 this month. I came to Dr. Moffett, with a complicated case and lengthy history. I was lucky to meet Dr. Moffett, who carefully evaluated my records, history, and current state, and after full consideration of all factors, he advised me of my treatment and surgical options. In short he listened to my concerns and was able to come up with a plan that would help me restore my previous active lifestyle. To say that I'm happy with the corrective surgery he did, would be a severe understatement. This allowed me to go from less than 90 degrees range of motion in my artificial knee to over 120-130, right away. I could then focus on becoming active again and regaining function and strength. Of course, I had some rough spots to work through during rehabilitation, because I'd been so inactive and had lots of muscle atrophy, but it was nothing short of a blessing to have treatment from this doctor, clinic, and staff. Looking back now, I've lost 50 pounds and have resumed being extremely active. Short of running, there isn't much that I can think of that I can't do. All of my lab results are great, even including my testosterone going way up naturally, and I am now off all medications. In short, I'm back to a fully active and healthy lifestyle doing what I want, when I want, without having to work around my knee problems. My choice of sport these days, is cycling, and I ride my bike about 200 miles per week. My titanium knee doesn't hold me back in any way. I am even racing competitively again. I just completed a 24 hour road race in Palo Duro Canyon, taking 3rd place in my division, and recently my team won the Race Across America - Texas Challenge 500. “Dr. Moffett has actually operated on me several times for both my left femur fractures and bilateral rotator cuff tears. On my last fracture of my femur, he took the time to insert a rod into my femur to strengthen and stabilize my leg for the future. Not such an involved procedure except for the fact that I am now a 70+ year old amputee with significant past surgical issues. The surgery was about 10 years ago, but I was able to walk my daughter down the aisle just like he promised. He has since repaired a fracture in my wife Linda's foot, and we both thank Dr. Moffett (and Mike Nicholas) and NTX Orthopedics for the caring treatment we received.”
