- “I had been dealing with a great deal of pain in my shoulder, for a very long time. Because of my age, I was hesitant to have surgery, but knew my condition was not going to improve without surgical intervention. Once I decided to undergo surgery, the staff moved very quickly to schedule the surgery, appointments and notify the hospital. I appreciated the presence of Dr. Stehley's PA, Cari Hall, on the day of surgery. It has been two months since surgery and I'm in physical therapy two times a week. Unofficially, I believe I may be close to completing that step, as well. Having surgically repaired the damage to my shoulder and built back the strength of the affected shoulder and arm, I am working hard to ensure that I keep this shoulder well and prevent a reoccurrence of the wear and tear. He carefully evaluated my condition and then treated me successfully, when other doctors refused to do anything else, expecting me to just accept the severe limitations I experienced after a total knee replacement from another practice. However, after Dr. Moffett treated me and I went through rehab again, I eventually got to a point where I have my mobility and health back. In fact, after three years off, I have now resumed my favorite exercise, bicycling, and have already ridden over 400 miles this month, including a trip to UTAH just for that purpose, which I could never have done otherwise. This includes the office staff, nursing staff as well as the doctors. - “Dr. Stehly stayed late at Baylor Grapevine in order to complete my surgery. I suffered a horrible fall on some concrete steps late one night and was transported by Grapevine Fire Department to the hospital. I had dislocated my shoulder, broken my left shoulder, two fingers and two ribs. Dr. Stehly and his excellent PA completed my surgery in less than 90 minutes which is great because at 61 years old any surgery can be very risky. The after surgery treatment was excellent. I preferred to do physical therapy on my own at home, but I was given great instructions and guidance from the day I left the hospital to the present. The entire staff at North Texas Orthopedics are very professional, friendly and caring. My road to recovery is not over, I still need a few more months to regain strength and total use of my left arm. The surgery went so well I was married 30 days after my accident and still went on a 2-week honeymoon to Europe. - “Had really bad buttock pain and lower leg pain. Diagnosed as bulging disk. I was surprised because I thought I had arthritis or something else. He said it would take time and if it didn't get better to come back in 8 weeks. Prescribed strong anti-inflammatory and scheduled a follow-up in 8 wks. I didn't need follow-up. Took a little longer to heal, but I realized that avoiding bending and working on keeping spine in neutral position aided in bringing healing. I appreciated his conservative treatment plan. Someone recommended Dr. Williams to me and within 5 minutes of the first visit with him I knew he was the right doctor. I think I surprised him at how ready and willing I was to get the operation done without any convincing but he just made me feel instantly at ease about the whole process. I could not be happier about my new knees. Life is so much better without the pain and agony I was going through on each step. I can now walk up and down stairs with ease and even play golf getting in and out of sand traps. ( I know you shouldn't hit it there!) I can even play tennis and recently finished 5th out of 16 in my league. All of my tennis buddies remark at how much difference it has made.
