BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Ramanjot Kang is a fellowship-trained pain management specialist with extensive training in anesthesiology and pain medicine. He is an expert at treating patients with acute and chronic pain conditions. He is dedicated to restoring function and improving the lives of patients. 
 


Dr. Kang received his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from New York University, where he also earned a Master of Science degree in biology. He then attended the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Kang underwent residency training in anesthesiology at Stony Brook University in New York. He completed additional fellowship training in pain medicine through the prestigious Tri-Institutional Pain Medicine Fellowship program at Weill Cornell Medicine. During his fellowship, Dr. Kang rotated at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine, Hospital for Special Surgery, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Dr. Kang is an expert at treating neck pain, low-back pain, post-laminectomy syndrome, painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy, complex regional pain syndrome, nonsurgical knee pain, and spine compression fractures. Dr. Kang also has extensive experience with treating and managing cancer-related pain. He is skilled at performing epidural steroid injections, ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablations, spinal cord stimulation (SCS), peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS), targeted drug delivery (TDD), vertebral augmentation (kyphoplasty), and basivertebral nerve ablation (Intracept®).

When not seeing patients, Dr. Kang is actively involved in research and several national societies. Outside of work, Dr. Kang enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
