Diagnostic Ultrasound

At North Texas Orthopedics & Spine Center, our orthopedic experts are dedicated to using advanced imaging techniques to accurately diagnose musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. As part of this dedication, we proudly offer our diagnostic ultrasound service.

Ultrasound, also known as sonography, is a nonoperative procedure that uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of the inside of the body. These real-time images provide our doctors with insight into your pain as well as aid them in determining your diagnosis.

Ultrasound can be used to diagnose a variety of orthopedic injuries and conditions, including:

  • Abnormalities of the muscles
  • Bleeding or other fluid collections within the muscles, bursae, and joints
  • Bursitis
  • Ganglion cysts
  • Small benign and malignant soft tissue tumors
  • Tendon, ligament, and muscle tears
  • Tendonitis
